Still on the floor.Still accountable.
Ye Olde Red Horse in Evesham and The Crown Inn in Peopleton keep Josh’s consultancy grounded in current pub operation.
Ye Olde Red Horse, Evesham.
A community pub with food, live entertainment and five letting rooms. Josh’s work here brings wet sales, kitchen delivery, events, room pricing, housekeeping, booking channels and guest communication into one operation.
The commercial challenge is balancing those income streams without allowing one to undermine another. A room guest needs accurate arrival information; a food guest needs a deliverable menu; an event needs a staffing plan and a commercial purpose.
The Crown Inn, Peopleton.
A village pub where local relationships, events and the garden are central to the offer. Food vans, quizzes and Sunday roasts are examples of building occasions around the setting and community.
The operational focus is keeping the pub relevant through the week, matching staffing and activity to demand, and making the reasons to visit clear. Running the two venues together also puts delegation, communication and management capacity into daily practice.
One guest experience. Several moving parts.
The guest does not see separate departments for rooms, food, wet sales and online bookings. They see one business. That is why my consultancy looks at the connections between the offer, the team, the information and the visit.
